About The Organisation

The Role


As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out care duties for patients, in support of a registered nurse, and will regularly work unsupervised.

The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.


Full-time and part-time hours available.


In This Key Role, You Will


Carry out assigned tasks to deliver and support direct patient care, under the direction of a registered nurse, to ensure delivery of a high quality of patient care e.g.

Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures.


Assist with admission, transfer and dischare of patients.


Assist in the collection of routine urine/blood specimens.


Monitor and order supplies and carry out required housekeeping duties, in order to support patient care.


Provide escort duties as required.


Undertake recording of patient vital signs and report results to registered staff.


Assist in maintenance and improvement of patient mobility in conjumction and in support of other members of the multidisciplinary team to continue rehabilitation.


Report observed changes in the patients physical and psychological needs and participate in maintaining accurate and up to date records, to ensure effective communication.


What You'll Bring


SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.

Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.


Effective written and verbal communication skills.


Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.


Ability to work unsupervised.


To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.


Working knowledge of basic information technology
