Position


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Pharmacist within our Emergency Care team with an area base working across University Hospital Crosshouse and University Hospital Ayr. This post is offered on a secondment basis for 12 months.

Hours


36 hours per week

You will participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours rotas as required. In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and or an extended working day.


This post is offered on a fixed term/secondment basis for 12 months, with potential to extend to 18 months


Job share will be considered for this post.

    What You Will Do


    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist to participate in the provision of high quality pharmaceutical services within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

    The post holder will be responsible for delivering a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to patients accessing care within Emergency Care. Base will be area wide with cross-site working at University Hospital Ayr (UHA) and University Hospital Crosshouse (UHC). The Emergency Departments (ED) & Combined Assessment Units (CAU) utilises multiple ambulatory care pathways, rapid assessment, early senior clinical decision-making & care involving the multidisciplinary team.

    Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post


    The ideal candidate shall need to be registered with the GPhC, possess the relevant hospital experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.

    NHS Ayrshire & Arran benefits from automated dispensing and electronic prescribing (HEPMA and CEPAS). The ideal candidates shall possess a desire to drive forward and actively contribute to the transformation of Clinical Pharmacy Services within Ayrshire & Arran. We support the development of our staff and applicants not currently holding a practice prescribing certificate will be supported to complete this.
