The Role
We are seeking to recruit a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join the NHS Lanarkshire Cardiology Specialist Nurse team, based at University Hospital Monklands.
The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner within the Rapid Access Chest Pain Service to provide specialist patient centred care, making high level clinical decisions during patient assessment to provide diagnosis, treatment plan, follow up and discharge. Relevant clinical experience, expert knowledge within cardiology and an accredited clinical examination qualification is essential, non-medical prescriber qualification is desirable (or willing to undertake). Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills are required.
What You'll Bring
From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
